Locations Near Disney World and Disneyland

Budget is located on airport property in Orlando. You can just walk right out to the garage to pick up your car.

In addition to its Orlando airport location, there is an alternate Budget location at 2125 Landstreet Road in Orlando. It is 9 miles from the airport on Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Blvd. Taxi fare from the airport is reportedly about $20. In some cases it may be substantially cheaper to rent from this location, if you don't mind the inconvenience. (By the way, it may be possible to return the car to the airport without a drop charge. There is also a Budget desk at the Doubletree Guest Suites hotel near Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World.

Budget is located on airport property in Orange County, CA (SNA). It has a regular shuttle at LAX.

FastBreak

Budget has a frequent-renter program called FastBreak that allows you to pre-register your credit card number, driver's license number, etc. This can speed your check-in at the airport. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Debi G reports that when she signed up for FastBreak, she received a coupon in the mail for a two-car-class upgrade.

Discounts, Codes and Coupons

To find the best rates, I recommend trying every code that applies to your travel dates and desired car type when checking rates for Budget online. Just type the code into the appropriate box on the Budget web site.

The codes below are good for anyone to use and do not require a paper coupon. However, some of them will work only for certain dates and/or car types, and some have blackout dates over certain holidays -- so if one doesn't work, try another. Rates do not include taxes and fees.

Discounts Open to Anyone

• First, be sure to check out the various specials on the Budget web site. (Click on the Specials tab at the top.)

• Get a standard SUV airport rental for $224/week or a standard SUV neighborhood rental for $214/week at Budget. Pick-up by 9/30/08. Weekly rates require a five-consecutive-day minimum rental with a 14-day maximum rental. Limited availability at this rate. Blackout dates apply. Use BCD code U030073. Expires 8/28/08.

• Budget "Back to School" promotion is valid for pick-ups through 12/15/08. Use BCD code U099902. Weekly rates require a minimum 5-consecutive-day to maximum 14-consecutive-day rental. A Saturday night may be required. Offer valid for daily rentals only on an Intermediate (class C) vehicle. Daily rate requires a minimum 1-day to maximum 4-consecutive-day rental with checkout only on Sunday through Thursday. Blackouts include, but are not limited to August 29 - September 2, October 10-13 & November 27 - December 1, 2008 in ALL locations. Rates with this offer:

• Wal-Mart Customers (i.e. anyone) can get up to 25% off rentals at Budget. Use BCD code W810011.

Discounts Requiring Membership, Physical Coupon, etc.

• American Express cardholders - get an American Express Rewards Card worth up to $100, plus up to $50 off your rental at Budget. Valid on compact through premium vehicles. Valid for pickup through 5/1/08 at participating US locations. Blackout dates apply. Must use an American Express Card on your rental to redeem the offer. Offer will be applied at time of rental. The address information you supply at the time of rental will be used to mail your rewards card. Rewards cards are available while supplies last and will be mailed to qualified renters 6-8 weeks after completed rental. Use the following electronic coupon codes:

  • MUWZ102 for $10 Rewards card plus $10 off a 3- to 5-consecutive day rental.

  • MUWZ103 for $15 Rewards card plus $15 off a 5- to 14-consecutive day rental.

  • MUWZ104 for $25 Rewards card plus $35 off a 15- to 20-consecutive day rental.

  • MUWZ104 for $50 Rewards card plus $35 off a 21- to 28-consecutive day rental.

  • MUWZ105 for $100 Rewards card plus $50 off a 29- to 330-consecutive day rental.

• The 2009 Entertainment Book offers a special BCD code plus many coupons for Budget, including $25 off (minimum 5-day rental including Saturday night stay, of a premium, luxury, convertible, passenger van, SUV or minivan), $20 off (minimum 5-day rental of compact through full-size 4-door), free day (minimum 5-day rental including Saturday night stay, of compact through full-size 4-door), free weekend day (minimum 3-day rental including Saturday night stay, of compact through full-size 4-door), free upgrade and more.
